1. Briefly describe the main characters.
Scout : Her real name is Jean Louis Scout Finch. She is a tomboy and also she is clever.
Jem : Scout's older brother. His left arm is shorter than right arm.
Dill : Scout and Jem's friend. He is nephew of Rachel. He likes Scout.
Atticus : Scout and Jem's father. He is a lawyer. He has sense of justice.
Calpurnia : She is housekeeper of Scout's house. She is a black woman and strict.

2. Explain the last paragraph with reference to the events preceding it.

"The old house was the same, droopy and sick, but as we stared down the street we thought we saw an inside shutter move. Flick. A tiny, almost invisible movement, and the house was still."

Jem threw open the gate and sped to the side of the house, so i think Boo Radley moved because of him.

3. What do you notice about the narrative voice and viewpoint in the novel?
The narrater is Scout which is young and innocent.



Chapter 2
1. What is the most significant event here?
Scout starts to go to school and we could know new characters.

2. Why does Scout get into trouble on her first day?
Because Scout can read a book, so Caroline suspicious that Scout's father teached her. However he didn't.
3. Who is Walter Cunningham and what do we learn of his circumstances?
Walter Cunningham is needy student. His family never took anything they can't pay back. We could know his circumstance is poverty.
